A call from the future
University of La Laguna, the oldest university in the Canary Islands, made a strategic decision to take the university into the future. This comprehensive change required rethinking everything and its visual identity was one of the keys to its actualization.
This university is firmly tied to the name of its home city. We saw a great opportunity to express that concept by composing the “U” in University by using two “L’s” that represent La Laguna. That was the basis of a visual identity proposal aimed at connecting the University, its history and geography, its academic community, and its students with the future.
